Using "Busy" Background Graphics

If your hope to have anyone read text which you place over a very busy background tile or graphic, forget it unless the text color contrasts immensely with the background. That is usually not the case because the "busyness" of the background is usually to to a color range and/or hue range.; i.e. , it is difficult to find a color with contrasts with everything in the background.

Table Overlay Technique

Please Note: These techniques were originally written for Netscape 2.xx -3.xx. The "error" which allowed the Table Overlay Technique to work has been removed from Communicator; it was never present in Explorer.

(If there is no text in the following blocks, scroll the browser to force Netscape to reload the page.)

If you want to use these tiles, put your text in a table with a solid color which complements the background.
